Local Need

Heart Well Homestead will address the urgent need for maternity housing in Clinton County, where homelessness increased by 84% in 2024. The January 2024 Point-in-Time count recorded 289 homeless individuals, including 14 households with at least one child. Despite this growing crisis, there are no maternity homes in the Tri-County region to support homeless pregnant and parenting mothers.
